Why does the baby have scissors in its mouth? How did the teenage girl wind up tangled in the lawn chair and then fall in the pool? Who is pouring those cocktails anyway? The answer will remain a mystery, but to see the scenes in question, you need only buy this book. From the exceptionally skilled rapidograph pen of Abbigail McCracken, this suite of drawings has no context and no one is sure why they were even drawn in the first place. Captions have been added, but they shed little light. Just buy the book, and enjoy the arrival of a major new cartooning talent.
This is the deluxe edition, limited to 26 copies, each of which contain a 5" x 7" archival print signed by the artist. The cover image is printed on two separate sheets of vellum and then sandwiched between cardstock "window frames," so the colors become more vibrant when held up to the light (see pictures).
