Why does the baby have scissors in its mouth? How did the teenage girl wind up tangled in the lawn chair and then fall in the pool? Who is pouring those cocktails anyway? The answer will remain a mystery, but to see the scenes in question, you need only buy this book. From the exceptionally skilled rapidograph pen of Abbigail McCracken, this suite of drawings has no context and no one is sure why they were even drawn in the first place. Captions have been added, but they shed little light. Just buy the book, and enjoy the arrival of a major new cartooning talent.
This is the trade edition, limited to 100 numbered copies. The covers are printed with archival pigment inks over digital ground painted by hand on smooth cardstock. Each copy is slightly different, although the below image is representative. Mohawk light-gray paper for the text and blue Irish linen thread bring the whole package together.
