Sketches from 'A Deitch Miscellany' - Kim Deitch

In 2014, we published a collection of Kim Deitch's artwork under the title 'A Deitch Miscellany' as a limited-edition, deluxe package. One of the main sections of the book was a collection of sketches and preperatory artwork for Kim's past two books, as well as his next book, which will be published in 2015.

Although 'Miscellany' has sold out, we wanted to keep the sketchbook portion in print, since Kim's sketches are amazing works of art in their own right, and everyone who wants to should get the opportunity to see them. So, we got to work on this collection, which we'll keep in print as long as there is demand for it.

Each copy is printed on Mohawk Via Smooth light gray paper and sewn by hand. The full-bleed wrapround cover is printed with Ultrachrome K3 ink on Hahnemuhle 300g watercolor paper. (For reference K3 ink means that the printer uses two gray cartridges in addition to a black cartridge, so it's fantastic for reproductions of pencil artwork like this.)
